Odisha Govt declares free education for the children of the deceased

The Government of Odisha has undertaken new initiatives in the interest of the families of the deceased who lost their lives to the COVID-19 pandemic. In a recent all-party virtual meeting, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik declared that the children who lost their parents to the pandemic of COVID-19 will be given free education. The women who lost their husbands will also be given a monthly pension.

In Odisha’s campaign to tackle the enraged coronavirus waves, the government has decided to initiate new proposals to secure the health and safety of all its people. This strategy involves a door-to-door three months house survey which will be carried out by the ASHA and Anganwadi workers. The survey is scheduled to be launched on May 24. Other than this, the Odisha government has also laid down a large number of ICU/HDU beds, oxygen-supported beds and even recruited about 786 new doctors and 5137 new paramedics.

Amongst all these measures, the Government has also launched the Madhubabu Pension Yojana which will be covering for the families of those deceased due to the pandemic waves. CM Naveen Patnaik said that every life is important and the government is determined in its approach to make sure that the widows and orphans are well taken care of. The CM of Odisha ended his session on an empowering note declaring that there shall be no stone left unturned when it comes to guaranteeing the welfare of the people and state.
