Conduct of Re-Exam for Engineering students in Tamil Nadu

Anna University has been asked to conduct a re-exam for the engineering students who had appeared for an online test in February by Tamil Nadu Government. This is due to the claim of the students that the pass percentage was less due to the multiple choice-based question paper pattern and the university has withheld the results of many students.

The Chief Minister had thus conducted a review meeting with the higher education minister and the Anna University Officials on Monday. The meeting was thus concluded with the decision of conducting a re-exam for the students. Nearly four lakh students appeared for the online exam in February and those who have passed from them can take up the retest if they wish.

The duration of the exam will be three hours like in other universities and this pattern will be followed in the upcoming semester. The students are not required to pay the examination fees. The exams which were put to a halt due to lockdown would be conducted from May 25 for College students and the announcements will be made by respective universities.
