The Government of Karnataka has postponed the Common Entrance Test on Wednesday due to the ongoing pandemic. This entrance examination serves as the gateway for admission to some undergraduate courses such as engineering, technology, yoga and naturopathy, farm science and pharma courses.
Presently, The exam is scheduled to be conducted on August 28 with Biology and Mathematics exams in the first and second shifts respectively and on August 29 with Physics and Chemistry exams in the first and second shifts respectively. The Kannada Language Test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates is scheduled to be held on August 30.
The government had announced earlier last week that II Pre University board exams will be held at a later date. It was initially planned to hold theory examinations from May 24 to June 16 but due to the surge in Covid-19 cases in the state, the examinations have been postponed.
