As power and communication networks were among some worst-hit amenities in the coastal districts of Raigad, Palghar and Sindhudurg by cyclone Tauktae. Many colleges in these districts that are affiliated with the Mumbai University and were unable to conduct exams scheduled on Monday and Tuesday of the same week. authorities claimed that some of these colleges went through infrastructural damage as most of the coastal areas of the city had.
MU has allowed the colleges to reschedule the examinations for these two days. The onslaught of the cyclone is a double blow to many of them because they also suffered a loss last year when cyclone Nisarga hit the coasts.
