After the CET results, the admission process began and the first common admission round ended on\u00a0<strong>December 15<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Last year,\u00a0<strong>96,337<\/strong>\u00a0students had registered for online admission and the admissions are expected to be higher this year as\u00a0<strong>1,08,718\u00a0<\/strong>students have registered for online admission.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The total available seats this year in the engineering colleges across the state are\u00a0<strong>1,30,543<\/strong>\u00a0and in the first common admission process, around\u00a0<strong>1,00,072\u00a0<\/strong>students gave their preference for colleges.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>While a total of\u00a0<strong>77,877<\/strong>\u00a0students were admitted in the first round,\u00a0<strong>10,721<\/strong>\u00a0students were given the college of their first preference and nearly\u00a0<strong>43,635<\/strong>\u00a0students went into the second round of admissions by giving a betterment option.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The students who have not taken admissions in the first round are waiting to be admitted to top-ranked colleges in the second round. However, as the competition is high, the seats are expected to be filled in the first two rounds and a good admission season is expected this academic year.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>A total of\u00a0<strong>62,174\u00a0<\/strong>seats are available in the second round and its merit list will be declared on\u00a0<strong>December 17<\/strong>.
