The exam centres were changed at the last minute on the first day of the test on July
15 which led to many candidates missing the exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2022 being the second largest entrance test
in the country faced several glitches in the debut edition causing exam cancellations and leaving
the aspirants struggling and worried. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of those issues were:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exam Centre Change:<\/strong> The exam centres were changed at the last minute on the first day of the
test on July 15 which led to many candidates missing the exam. Students were not allowed entry
while they turned for the exam at several centres in Delhi in the morning slot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The candidates were informed about the centre change through emails and SMS a night before
the exam and will not be given a chance to retest. Moreover, the candidates have been
complaining about the last-minute changes in exam centres in the further phases too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mass cancellation of an exam following sabotage reports: <\/strong>The second shift exam on the first day
of the second phase was cancelled at all centres and on the entire phase, the exam was cancelled
at every centre following the reports of sabotage. A chance to retest will be given to the
candidates from the second phase later this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exam postponed to accommodate the choice of centre:<\/strong> For over 11,000 candidates, the exam was
postponed in the third phase as their choice of city for the exam centre could not be
accommodated. Thus, they will be appearing for the exam on August 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uninformed changes in exam dates:<\/strong> Aspirants claim that their exam dates are being changed
without prior intimation leading them to miss the exams unintentionally. The students have been
reaching out to the NTA as well as the UGC seeking clarity on the retest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Admit cards mentioning already passed exam dates:<\/strong> Aspirants have claimed that the exam dates
mentioned on their admit cards have already passed while the date intimated to them earlier was
different. The candidates have been assured not to panic and stick to the dates which have been
informed to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exam cancellation due to technical glitches:<\/strong> The fourth phase of CUET was marred by technical
glitches on August 17 forcing the NTA to cancel exams at 13 centres affecting over 8600
candidates. The candidates who have been affected will get a chance to retest on August 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exam cancellation due to rains, landslides:<\/strong> The exams of the second and third phases were
cancelled at some centres in Itanagar and Kerala due to rains and landslides. Only three
candidates could reach the two exam centres in Arunachal Pradesh\u2019s Itanagar and all the affected
candidates will get a chance to retest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delayed schedule:<\/strong> All phases of the CUET-UG were scheduled to conclude on August 20
according to the initial plan and the NTA later announced that all phases of the exam will
conclude on August 28. The schedule has however been deferred and the exam has been split<\/p>\n\n\n\n

into six phases and is slated to conclude on August 30. The university admissions have been
further delayed due to the delayed schedule of the exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Testing Agency has announced a grievance redressal email for candidates who are
struggling with the issues and each complaint is being evaluated and after verification, a call is
being taken on whether to allow the candidate to appear for a retest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
