Student groups of Delhi University welcome freshers with open arms on the first day of the new academic session of 2022-2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student groups left no stone unturned to ensure that the freshers feel comfortable as Delhi University opened its door for the new academic session. They welcomed the students with enthusiasm and great zeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Various activities such as setting up help desks to guide the freshers, decorating colleges, and distributing chocolates were done by the student groups. They have taken the responsibility upon themselves to guide the first-year students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rangolis and Decorated Gates<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

As usual, some freshers were thrilled to be entering college while many were nervous. Parents accompanied many of the students. Colleges such as Kirorimal College and Daulat Ram College were decked with Rangolis. Moreover, the main gates were decorated with flowers. Posters were put up in every corner to welcome the freshers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Ramjas College, volunteers of the RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad showered flowers on the freshers at the gates. They also guided them to their orientation rooms. Volunteers were seen informing the new joinees, at the help desk, about the group. They also provided them with information pamphlets on the ABVP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members of the Students\u2019 Federation of India and Krantikari Yuva Sangathan also distributed pamphlets at Vishwavidyalaya Metro station. National Students\u2019 Union of India welcomed the new students with chocolates and flowers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order for the students to not feel like entering an alien environment, students were welcomed by the seniors with great enthusiasm. The volunteers were praised by the first years as they went out of their way to help them. Colleges also held orientation programmes to inform the new students about the societies, syllabus and committees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
