Botany (Specialization in Biotechnology)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"College_Facilities\"><\/span><strong>College Facilities : <\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The campus is equipped with a<strong> library<\/strong> that consists of a collection of 52000 books, journals, magazines and reference texts. The Library facilitates the students with an N-list facility. It also extends services such as Reference, Reprography, Information deployment and notification, In-house\/remote access to e-resources and Assistance in searching databases. The Library is also equipped with 5 computers with internet connectivity and 2 printers for Download and Printing facility.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Bishop Moore College<\/strong>&nbsp;is equipped with two recognized research centres; the Centre For Advanced Functional Materials for Physics and the Centre For Nanoscience And Human Milk Research for Chemistry. Facilities such as RF Sputtering Unit, Work station computer, FT-IR Spectrophotometer, Solution Growth Apparatus, Magnetic stirrer with hot plate, SR method for growing large size crystal and many more at Research Department of Physics.                                            <\/li><li>The <strong>Students Grievance Redressal Cell<\/strong> looks into the complaints of the students and judges its merit and also looks into matters of harassment in order to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere. Grievances may be dropped in writing or sent through e-mail to the officer-in-charge.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The<strong> Research Department<\/strong> of Botany consists of facilities such as Laminar Air Flow, Hot air oven, Incubator, Autoclave, Weighing balances \u2013 Monopan and digital balance, Double and Single distillation units, etc. Similarly, the Research Department of Zoology houses facilities such as Phase Contrast Microscope, Research Microscope, Binocular Microscope, Compound Microscope, Dissection Microscope, Digital pH meter and so on.<\/li><li><strong>Bishop Moore College<\/strong>&nbsp;is equipped with a hostel which is available for Women students who pursue education in this college who come from the coastal and remote areas of Alapuzha and Kollam District.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Extra_Curricural_Activites\"><\/span><strong>Extra Curricural Activites : <\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Students take part in various cultural activities such as <strong>Kathakali, Rangoli, Hindi Recitation, Drama, Aksharaslokam (Malayalam and Sanskrit), Recitation (English), Mimicry, Veena string instrument, Sculpture, Elocution \u2013 English, Bharathanatyam, Monoact, Folk Dance <\/strong>and many more.
