The fees for medical courses in private colleges all over Haryana have been increased by almost 100 percent. According to a letter issued by the state government, doctors who intend to enroll in these courses will have to pay a fee of up to Rs 16.5 lakh per annum. Earlier this amount was almost Rs 8.85 lakh.
The highest fees of Rs 14.02 lakh per annum will have to be paid by the students who want to pursue MD/MS in clinical specialties including gynecology, pediatrics, general surgery, general medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics and ophthalmology, anaesthesiology, radiotherapy and respiratory medicine.
Apart from the tuition fees, medical students will have to pay out around Rs 2.4 lakhs per year as other charges.
