The Chief Minister of Goa has declared that the state board examinations for Class 10 is cancelled and the decision for state board examinations for Class 12 will likely be announced by May 26. This decision was taken due to the stress and panic faced by the Class 10 students and their parents due to the Covid Crisis.
The promotion of the students will be based on the marks of their internal assessment and if one subject gets left out in this scheme of marking, the student will be allowed to keep the term.
Students who take the Class 10 exams privately will be subjected to a one-day or three-day examination and a similar format of exams shall be conducted for students who wish to opt for science stream or diploma courses.
The tentative list will be released by the end of July and students will get a 15-day prior notice.
