The Maharashtra Government has confirmed that no Common Eligibility Test would be conducted for the University or College admissions into Undergraduate courses and the admissions will be based on the HSC result 2021.
The Class 12 results of the Maharashtra state were announced on August 3, 2021, and it was found that more students have scored marks 90 percent and above this year when compared to the last year. The Pass percentage of this year is 99.63 which is the highest pass percentage until now.
The Higher Education Minister has declared that no student must be deprived of admission. Looking at the results this year, it is evident that students may have difficulties in getting admission into well-known colleges in Pune, Nagpur and Mumbai Universities. A detailed guideline is expected to be shared by the state government soon regarding college admissions.
