CBSE requests UGC to fix the last date of UG admissions

Universities are asked to fix their deadline for admission to undergraduate courses after the declaration of CBSE Class 12 results by the University Grants Commission. Even though the CBSE is yet to declare the Class 12 results, some universities have started their admission process.

This will deprive the CBSE students of admission if the last date is fixed by the universities prior to the declaration of the results by the board.

This move has come after the Central Board of Secondary Education reached out to the commission requesting it to ask the universities to fix their admission schedule according to the results.

The Central Board of Secondary Education will likely be declaring its results by the end of this month as the board exam schedule was delayed this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
