Reopening of Delhi University post-Diwali

  • Members of the Left-affiliated AISA and others are on a hunger strike. Delhi University has started laboratory classes for the final year undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • The vice-chancellor said that they are planning to increase the college timings by a few hours. Delhi University already has some evening colleges.
  • The authorities’ mentioned that this strategy will lead to flexibility and will avoid overcrowding during the pandemic and the timings of the administrative staff will be from 9 am to 5 pm.
  • The students have decided to continue the hunger strike and will assemble at the Arts Faculty. They decided to hold a 48-hour hunger strike but on Tuesday they decided to continue it till they get an assurance from the administration on the reopening of the campus.
